To avoid confusion and to help visitors and customers understand the length at which Mia Simone goes through to ensure she makes good choices that are healthy, safe, honest and truly natural, she has provided some criteria that she uses to help ensure that the ingredients used are truly natural. We do not believe in deceiving or misleading people just to make a profit. The owner believes that it is the customer's right to have honest and accurate information about the products purchased from her business. She takes the extra effort to go beyond what is required to provide customers with detailed product information on her web site.

The term "natural" is sometimes loosely used here in the United States. Unfortunately many manufactures and companies mislead people to believe that some of their products are natural when they are not. Mia Simone's definition of "natural" is as follows. A product that is labeled, advertised or branded to signify that it is natural or all natural is a product that should contain 100% natural ingredients. This means that all ingredients used in that product should be natural. If a product contains one (1), ingredient in it that is not natural then in my opinion that product is not completely natural and should NOT be advertised as natural because the word natural makes one think that each ingredient in the product is natural. If an un-natural ingredient is used in our products {which we seldom use} then the customer will be notified through our web site on the appropriate product page. We do this by informing you of the percentage of natural ingredients contained within the product {example: 99% natural}. If you don't see a percentage next to a product then know that it is 100% natural. Sometimes we may offer seasonal products that contain fragrance oils. Many fragrance oils are made of artificial and natural scents. -- Owner

Ingredients	We use botanical, herbal and plant ingredients grown organically or wild-harvested, although consideration is given for alternatives based on quality and availability as long as they are natural. We also use Fair Trade ingredients whenever possible.
Animal Protection and Animal Testing	Neither in the production nor in product development is testing on animals to be carried out, nor outsourced to another company. The use of animal by-products from vertebrates (i.e. spermaceti, tortoise oil, mink oil, marmot oil, animal fats, animal collagen, fish cells...mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fishes) is not allowed.
Emulsifying Agents	Emulsifying agents are used only if they were obtained from vegetable and natural sources.
Unacceptable Ingredients	Synthetic ingredients; chemical ingredients, ingredients that are not natural, toxic ingredients etc.
Preservatives	Natural preservatives are allowed along with natural preservation systems for the safety and stability of the product. These include: Vitamin E, plant oils that contain high amounts of Vitamin E, Ascobic Acid, essential oils and other natural ingredients that contain anti-microbial, anti-fungus and anti-bacterial properties etc.
Genetically Modified	Avoidance of genetically-engineered ingredients is practiced whenever possible.
What's Included?	We use natural, vegan, wildcrafted and organically grown ingredients in our products.
